ICNA Dallas Launched ‘Ramadan Campaign’ with Billboards and Celebrate Ramadan Events to portray the Muslim tradition of Fasting.

WhyIslam, a Project of  Islamic Circle of North American, Dallas Chapter (ICNA), has launched a 4-week campaign about the month of Ramadan with the message on the Billboards Ramadan – The month of Reflection, Giving and Spirituality.

As part of the campaign, WhyIslam has launched 3 billboards in Dallas on the following locations:

The campaign’s purpose is to provide an opportunity to our fellow Americans that about 1 billion Muslims worldwide including US celebrating the month of Ramadan and to Educate them about what the tradition of Ramadan is all about to better understand your fellow Muslim neighbors and friends! 

The Billboards connects the audience to the purpose of fasting which is to develop the quality of mindfulness, inwardly and outwardly, by not only abstaining from food but also bad deeds and training ourselves to control our thoughts and desires through reflecting and charity. Fasting is a deeply spiritual practice that is meant to benefit us in body, mind and heart.

These 3 billboard will reach out to about 8 millions cars in 4 week.

As part of the campaign, WhyIslam team also has organized “Celebrate Ramadan” event in Dallas North Cliff Library in May 15th  and West Irving library on May 29th.

The Celebrate Ramadan offers the attendees opportunity to explore Islamic culture and beliefs through activities like calligraphy and henna. Learn the meaning and traditions of Ramadan and share the Iftar Dinner (Breaking the fast meal). A similar event is planned in
