Competition Rules
- Participants may register for only one of the following main competitions: Hifz, Qira’ah, or Adhan.
- However, all participants are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Interactive Quran Quiz (IQ).
- To register, parents will have to create a main account first and then child(ren) can be registered for the event
Registration Fees:
(Discounted registration through 10/20/2026)
- For 1 student = $20
- For 2 students in the same family = $30
- For 3 students in the same family = $35
- For 4 students in the same family = $40
- For 5 students in the same family = $45
Adhan
Competition
Eligibility & Guidelines
- The Adhan Competition will take place on October 31st, and the winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony.
- Participants will be required to recite the Complete Adhan with proper pronunciation, Tajweed, tone, and presentation.
- This competition is open to Boys in Grades 5 through 12.
- Students participating in the Adhan Competition may not participate in the Hifz or Qira’ah Competitions.
- Adhan participants may also participate in the Interactive Quran Quiz (IQ).
Criteria For Adhan Competition
- 40% marks for Makharij-ul-Huruf & clarity
- 60% marks for melody

Competition
Eligibility & Guidelines
- The Hifz Competition will take place on October 31st, and the winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony.
- Participants will be evaluated on memorization accuracy, Tajweed, pronunciation, and fluency.
- Students participating in the Hifz Competition may not participate in the Qira’ah or Adhan Competitions.
- Hifz participants may also participate in the Interactive Quran Quiz (IQ).
Hifz Competition Syllabus
- Student will not be tested on common rules of Tajweed
- Hifz Level 1 will be divided into two groups:
- Group 1 – Grades 1 thru 5
- Group 2 – Grades 6 thru 12

| Hifz Level 3 | Complete Quran |
Qira’ah
Competition
Eligibility & Guidelines
- The Qira’ah Competition will take place on October 31st, and the winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony.
- Participants will be evaluated on Tajweed, pronunciation, fluency, voice, and overall quality of recitation.
- Students participating in the Qira’ah Competition may not participate in the Hifz or Adhan Competitions.
- Qira’ah participants may also participate in the Interactive Quran Quiz (IQ).
Qira’ah Competition Syllabus and Criteria
- Student will be tested on common rules of Tajweed
- Memorizing the Surah is not required
- Student will have to prepare from the following assigned Surahs:

- This year YM Quiz Team is introducing Interactive Quran Understanding Quiz.
- It will be Kahoot style competition to check students understanding of the selected Surahs according to their Level.
